Usage
{{icon|name}}
renders a small icon, e.g. {{icon|zyre}} in running prose:
- Zyre has the most PvP activity of the isolated worlds, alongside the End.
Name matching is case- and space-insensitive -- zyre, Zyre and ZYRE all match the same icon, and a name normally written with a space (e.g. "Shard Pouch") can be typed either way: {{icon|shard pouch}} and {{icon|shardpouch}} render identically. Every name below also has its own shorter aliases (see the Aliases column) -- an unrecognised name renders a visible error instead of silently showing nothing, so a typo is easy to spot rather than quietly vanishing.
Some icons come with their own article link and bundled label text (e.g. Zyre links to Zyre); others are bare -- just the icon, meant to sit before a word you type yourself, the same way {{icon|zyre}} sits before "the End" in the example above. The tables below mark which is which.
Variants
A name with more than one icon (e.g. two senses of the same abbreviation, or a set of rarity tiers) takes an optional second parameter to pick which one:
{{icon|name|variant}}
e.g. {{icon|lcr|ballot}}. Where a default variant is defined, leaving the second parameter out falls back to it, so the bare {{icon|lcr}} still renders something rather than erroring. Some names (e.g. Rank, Capital) have no sensible default and require an explicit variant, or render an error. Each variant can have its own alias too, shown in the same Variant column as the variant name itself where it's a parallel short form (e.g. Lock's rarities double as 1-6), or in Aliases where it's an abbreviation of one specific variant (e.g. Rank's dia2 for diamond2).
Dropping the link
A normally-linked icon can be set to nolink=yes to drop the link, the bundled label text, and the pill background, leaving just the bare icon -- useful where the surrounding text or table cell already says what it is, so repeating it as a link would be redundant:
{{icon|donatorstar|1|nolink=yes}}
renders as: (compare to the full, linked form: ). No effect on an already-bare icon.
