The Nether is Loka's take on Minecraft's fiery dimension, reached without any buildable portal of its own — passage is only possible by boat, aboard the Harbinger of Flame departing south of Aladra. Arrival is at the Nether Port, a protected sanctuary at the edge of the dimension.

Combat Rules

Most of the Nether is a Yellow Tag zone: dying only drops resources gathered there, rather than a player's full inventory. The Dreadfort, a nether fortress-style area, is the one major exception — it runs as a Red Tag zone, where dying drops everything. Items gathered in the Nether keep their unstable tag until a player reaches spawn or their own town, at which point it clears automatically.

Shrines

Scattered across the Nether are three kinds of shrine — Blaze, Ghast, and Magma Cube — each guarded by waves of Nether Wardens. Clearing one rewards a loot bundle, and each shrine resets roughly half an hour after being cleared.

History

According to server lore, a figure named Preksak once planted explosives inside a Nether structure in an attempt to destroy Loka; players intervened, led by Cryptite of Asgard, but the resulting blast still reset the Nether. The dimension is also the namesake of Nether's Eve, an annual Loka celebration held every year since.
