Loka has a number of ranks and roles, split below into the escalating rank hierarchy, separate community-facing roles that sit outside the hierarchy, and former ranks no longer in use.
Main Ranks

| Staff | Old One | Highest rank, reserved for the server's original high admins |
| Elder | Ancient-player, high-admin rank | |
| Guardian | Full admin rank | |
| Sentry | Sub-admin rank — chat admins who catch rule-breakers and keep public chat clean | |
| Players | Settler | Automatic for anyone who joins or starts a town |
| Nomad | Wandered the wilds for 2 weeks | |
| Wanderer | New player with less than 20 hours played and no town |
